A NOTE ABOUT ROAN FOALS:
Roan foals are not always born displaying the fancy Roan Coat. Some foals
show their roaning right at birth, while others show little to no signs of roaning
when born, but will roan later as they shed their foal coat. Within a few months,
as the foal sheds it’s foal coat, the beautiful roan coat will begin to emerge.
Some early clues as to whether the foal will roan or not, is to flip up the hair on
the hip or above the tail and look for light or silvery hair underneath.
